Anne M. Kelley is the author of her debut novel Veil Haven. 

 

Growing up in North Carolina, Anne was always writing, daydreaming, or exploring the woods. She continues to be inspired by natural and supernatural phenomena and has been writing novels since she could pick up a pen.

 

Anne is influenced to write about her friends, the Appalachian Mountains, cryptids, folktales, and the strange everyday atmosphere of wherever she's standing. She says her go-to writing topics revolve around "the three S's": Supernatural creatures, Superheroes, and Space.

 

Anne received her B.A. in English from Coastal Carolina University in 2019 where she was Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning TEMPO Magazine. She double minored in Creative Writing and New Media & Digital Studies. Anne has been published by winning literary contests for her short stories and poetry.

 

Anne first created Veil Haven in 2015, writing snippets and world building whenever she could. Buckling down in 2020, she put all her energy into completing her debut novel, crafting the Veil Haven trilogy, and starting her social media campaign on TikTok.

When she isn't writing or discovering new worlds, Anne is laughing at her own jokes, cosplaying her many interests, no-clipping into the backrooms, talking to readers on her Discord, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or obsessing over the latest paranormal, supernatural, or western piece of media.

 

Anne can always be found near her cat, Rusty, and the love of her life, who prefers not to be named.
