VEIL HAVEN
by Anne M. Kelley
In a town where cryptids roam the streets, ancient gods hover just out of sight, and everyone has powers, seventeen-year-old Ash has the ability to see everything happening in the present. She acts as this world's narrator.
Until a new family moves to town, Ash develops blind spots, and her best friend dies from mysterious causes.
When everyone she trusts lies to her, she pulls at the threads holding Veil Haven together in hopes of understanding why everything is going wrong. But in a place where knowledge is more dangerous than the cryptids stalking her, will the secrets Ash unearths be enough to save the rest of her friends?
Whether you’re returning or visiting this world for the first time, Veil Haven’s mysteries await. This standalone, stream-of-consciousness, ebook novella, is free for all Kindle Unlimited users and one dollar for everyone else!

Sixteen-year-old Ash possesses the rare gift of omniscience, allowing her to see every moment unfolding across Veil Haven—from quiet daily routines to terrifying cryptid encounters. As Ash navigates her own challenges, like the strained relationship of her adoptive family, the townspeople expect her to protect them from the ravenous cryptids and bizarre dangers that haunt their streets. But Ash knows, deep in her bones, there is nothing she can do to save them.
